The Cleveland Cavaliers swept their way to the NBA Finals, and fans were predictably insane about the win on Twitter.

It has been a very long time since the Cleveland Cavaliers weren’t an eye sore on the NBA and it’s been even longer that the city’s sports scene has been anything other than crushingly depressing. That could all change though, as the Cavaliers are on board for LeBron James’ fifth straight trip to the NBA Finals and the city’s first title since the dawn of man is on the cusp of being delivered.

It was a blowout of epic proportions as the Hawks stood no chance and went belly up almost as soon as the game started. This night wasn’t about the pathetic showing by the Hawks, it was about the excitement that the city of Cleveland is feeling ahead of the first NBA Finals trip the franchise has had since 2007.

Needless to say, Cavaliers fans on Twitter went nuts as soon as the berth in the NBA Finals was official at the end of Game 6.
