Ezekiel Elliott Heisman hype song just locked up the trophy for Zeke

Mekka Don made a Heisman hype song for Ezekiel Elliott, and you might as well give the Stiff Arm Trophy to Zeke now.

Ohio State is stacked for the upcoming seasons. We’re talking quarterbacks on backs on backs, Joey Big Bear Bosa anchoring a stout defense, and motivational mastermind (and mad photobomber) Urban Meyer calling the shots. Sometimes lost in the fray among all the persistent storylines of repeats and potential transfers is arguably the Buckeyes’ best, and most consistent, player, Ezekiel Elliott.

After steamrolling through Big Ten play last year, and then busting on to the national scene with commanding performances against Alabama and Oregon in the inaugural College Football Playoff, Elliott has been named the preseason favorite to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy. And, in an effort to help the early campaign, hip hop artist Mekka Don (a former Buckeye walk-on) created a pretty slick hype video.

According to Mekka Don, the combination of Zeke’s battering play and humble nature inspired this latest jam.

"“I loved what he stood for, loved his family,” Mekka Don told ESPN.com on Tuesday. “The Heisman odds came out from one of the Vegas sports books and he was No. 1, so I wanted to do something for him. With him being named the front-runner after the season he had, that’s a big deal.“A lot of times you don’t have a guy who is that talented and that accomplished who is also that humble. He enjoys and appreciates the moment.”"

And that’s how you end a race before it even starts. Book ’em, Danno. Unless Kristin Holt comes out crooning for Trevone Boykin, T-Pain for Everett Golson, or those Supwitchugirl bros for Vernon Adams, this sucker is in the bag. First running back Stiff Arm this decade. Zeke and his washboard abs for the win.
