Star Options

@ Athletics. David Price. 4. player. 63. Price has picked up 21 strikeouts in his last two starts lasting 6.2 innings in each and allowing three runs.  Price has allowed 21 earned runs in his last six starts combined, but he has been battling through and still giving his team solid innings.  He has four quality starts in his last five outings and six in his nine starts this season.. Detroit Tigers

3. player. 71. Kershaw hasn’t been his usual dominant self this month allowing three or more runs in each of his four May starts.  He has a 5.00 ERA in those outings while going 1-1. He still is holding opponents to a solid .233 batting average and has 30 K’s in 27 innings, but he hasn’t been as dominant as normal.  He is in a good matchup at home tonight, and still is a great start. However, he may not be worth the top dollar he commands in daily fantasy baseball leagues.. Los Angeles Dodgers. vs Braves. Clayton Kershaw

San Francisco Giants. @ Brewers. Madison Bumgarner. 2. player. 31. Bumgarner dominated the Dodgers (as he typically does) in his last outing striking out six in 6.1 scoreless innings.  He has five quality starts in his last six outings and has lowered his ERA on the season to 2.84.  He has been better at home than on the road, but his strong May (3-1, 1.75 ERA) keeps him an elite option even as the Giants play in Milwaukee.

3. DeGrom is coming off his best start of the season allowing just one hit in eight scoreless innings and striking out 11 Cardinals his last time out.  He beat the Phillies earlier this season holding them scoreless for 6.1 innings and has six quality starts in his nine outings this year. He has 54 strikeouts in 55.2 innings this season while posting a 2.75 ERA to go with his 5-4 record. Based on his matchup at home against the Phillies, he gets my top spot for today.. New York Mets. vs Phillies. Jacob deGrom. 1. player
