The Warriors have been the best team pretty much wire-to-wire this year, and now they have been granted their reward: a trip to the NBA Finals. Waiting for them will be The King, LeBron James, who last night clinched a trip to his fifth straight Finals.
Steph Curry and company, on the other hand, will be playing in their first Finals. It’s also the first trip to the championship round for the Warriors since 1975. Back before The Friendly Bounce, or the internet, or even Steph Curry were even born.
It’s been quite a season for Golden State, and they proved their worth with a dominant display in the Western Conference Finals. And now, congratulations, Bay Area. The Warriors are going to the Finals.
Turn up that E-40 and spin that Lil B. Let the partying begin.
