Today was any normal afternoon on Twitter. Hot takes were flying, people were making jokes and puns and President Obama was holding a question and answer session about climate change. Then, as it always does, the NBA got involved as someone asked him about the NBA Finals and Obama responded with talk about LeBron James, Stephen Curry and more.

First here is a picture of President Obama at the computer to prove it was him.

After a few questions about climate change Obama got to the important stuff.

Not exactly a hot take there from the president who seems to be a good basketball mind, but as always nice to see Kyle Korver get some recognition.

Things then got boring again with more climate change talk before someone asked about the news that broke today that left Tom Thibodeau leaving Chicago.

A much stronger take here from Obama. Thibs had started to divide Bulls fans a bit by the end of his tenure, though Obama was kind of painted into a tough spot here. Say he thought it was time and he is clearly labeled a Bulls and Thibs hater because that is the way Twitter works. Either way he is probably right at that last point, it is hard to see Thibs not landing another job if he really wants one.

Really though the lesson in this is simple. Basketball is clearly more important than climate change and even the President of the United States knows that.
