Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still posted on Instagram that his daughter Leah had a complication with her stem cell transplant.

While Leah Still, the daughter of Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still, is in remission from cancer, she has ran into some problems from her stem cell transplant.

Her dad took to Instagram, as he has consistently done to update everyone on her health, let everyone know that Leah had a “pretty serious complication” from the transplant.

The complication that arose was VOD. VOD is a condition that causes obstruction of veins in the liver. It is a result of high doses of chemotherapy. Fortunately, it sounds like doctors were able to catch it early on in the process.

Last year, the NFL and its players, coaches and front offices around the league rallied around Still and his daughter as she bravely fought Stage 4 neuroblastoma.

During a Sunday night game against the Patriots, all the cheerleaders wore Still jerseys to show their support, and several players and coaches purchased large amounts of jerseys so that proceeds would go toward her surgeries and medical bills.

In March, Devon announced the good news of his daughter’s remission, but noted that treatment would have to continue.

Now comes the news of complications with treatment. Hopefully, she will be able to beat the latest complication just as she has with every other one.
