The Washington Wizards point guard was removed from a flight in Las Vegas following a verbal altercation with another passenger.

Clearly affected by the impending possibility of headaches from artificial air pressure, John Wall and his crew were involved in an incident on Tuesday.

From ABC.com:

"Police say NBA star John Wall was kicked off a flight in Las Vegas on Tuesday after a disturbance was reported.Las Vegas police said Friday that the Washington Wizards‘ All-Star point guard was with a group of people on an American Airlines flight around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.Police say one of the people with Wall got into a verbal fight with another passenger who was unrelated to the group.Authorities say that’s when the airline requested Wall and his group be removed from the plane. Police say there were no charges or arrests."

Kurt Helin from Pro Basketball Talk illuminated the subject.

Hm, that’s a bit more than just a verbal fight. What could that passenger have been saying to Wall or his group?

“Randy Wittman is a doo-doo face”

If I was Wall I would have shook that passenger’s hand. It must have been something far worse.

This is uncharacteristic of someone like Wall, who has been a model of good character ever since joining the NBA. Unlike many other athletes, the tendency here would be to give Wall the benefit of the doubt. It’s impossible to speculate exactly what went down on the flight that allegedly led his friend to threaten someone on that plane (and yes, I realize I did just speculate that someone called Wittman a doo-doo face).

Really, what this story amounts to is that John Wall has a friend that needs to cool his jets. That likely won’t stop Colin Cowherd from saying something stupid with racist undertones soon, but it makes this story less incendiary.
