Rain in Houston flooding Astros’ Minute Maid Park
By Mike Dyce
The rain in Houston, Texas has flooded the Astros’ Minute Maid Park.
The rain in Texas has been rather torrential causing flooding all over the state. So much rain has fallen on Texas that it is enough water to put the entire state of Rhode Island under 10 feet of water, according to the Washington Times which has some insane graphics to help you visualize it.
It forced Houston Rockets fans to have to sit in the stadium after the game to wait to exit safely. Since the Houston Astros have a retractable roof on their stadium, it didn’t impact any of their games, at least on the field.
The rain was still leaking into the stadium during the game.
It even flooded the concourse.
It didn’t slow the Astros down on the field however. Dallas Keuchel threw a shut out in a 3-0 win over the Chicago White Sox.
