Coach Fred Hoiberg once mocked Joakim Noah’s shooting form on Twitter.

There are reports that Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg is in talks to join the Chicago Bulls and replace Tom Thibodeau. It is the latest in Hoiberg to Chicago journey that began with speculation going back months.

Nothing is official yet, but the two sides are nearing a deal and in talks for a contract. That means that Hoiberg will be taking over and coaching the Bulls roster which makes this former Tweet from him a little awkward.

In it is a picture of Bulls center Joakim Noah taking a shot, and Hoiberg is critical of his former and trolls him by telling the kids to look away.

Not necessarily bad advice, kids wanting to be successful basketball players shouldn’t want to shoot like Noah. That could make things a bit tense at first between the two, Noah doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to take a joke or let something go.

The other side of this is the potential to fix Noah’s shooting form and perhaps round out his game a little bit. That is if Noah is receptive to the coaching from Hoiberg.
