A look at the results of the WWE Elimination Chamber 2015 match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

The main event for WWE Elimination Chamber 2015 was the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match with Dean Ambrose challenging the champion Seth Rollins. The two former members of The Shield have been feuding on and off since Rollins turned on Ambrose and Roman Reigns, but this was their first match with the title involved.

Rollins had J&J Security and Kane out with him while Ambrose was out alone as Reigns was banned from being involved in the match like he planned to be.

The two competitors started the match exchanging armbars and headlocks, but Ambrose then got the upper hand. However, Rollins retreated to his cronies on the outside to catch his breath and get a pep talk. He came back in the ring and got on the offensive.

After coming back, it looked as if Ambrose was turning the tables and really taking control. The Authority distracted the ref, though, giving Rollins a chance to play dirty and regain control over Ambrose.

After being drug around a bit, Ambrose went for a roll-up, which began a series of roll-ups and reversals between the two. A big slam from Ambrose gave him control after that. The Authority again tried to save Rollins by pulling him to the outside, but Ambrose answered that with a suicide dive that took Rollins over the announce table.

Things then went to the outside soon after with Ambrose getting in most of the offense. However, the trip to the outside culminated in Rollins powerbombing Ambrose into the barricade, which allowed him to gain the upper-hand after rolling the challenger back into the ring. Ambrose still couldn’t be put away with a three-count, though.

Rollins then began to get customarily cocky and start talking down to Ambrose, which gave the challenger the opening to counter a corner clothesline and eventually hit Rollins with a tornado DDT.

With Ambrose in control once again, The Authority tried to get involved once more. Ambrose stopped them, but really took them out when he decided to hit them off the top rope instead of going at Rollins again.

Another top rope maneuver from Ambrose right after taking out The Authority connected with the official. That looked like it would set up more interference, but it instead set up a Dirty Deeds to Rollins. Then came the enormous surprise as another official came down, counted to three, and gave Ambrose the win.

However, the first official came to and gave Ambrose the victory still, but said it was by disqualification. By the rules of title defenses, that means Rollins is still the champion.

Rollins and The Authority then jumped a livid Ambrose to get the belt back, but Reigns came to the ring, delivering a Superman Punch to Rollins, a Spear to Kane, and a Superman Punch to J&J Security.

Reigns and Ambrose were left standing tall, with Ambrose getting on the mic and saying that he was taking the belt because he won the match.
