For those not in the know, two current NBA superstars were born in Akron, Ohio at the same hospital. One of those players is LeBron James, and the other is the current 2015 NBA MVP, Steph Curry. Now we all know about James love for where he grew up, and how much he uses that to motivate him. Akron is tattooed on his arm, he frequently goes back for public events, and it’s hard to not believe that Akron was a huge part of why James returned to Cleveland. He wanted to return to Ohio and bring not just Cleveland, but Akron, a championship.

Well, knowing this, Curry decided to have some fun with this and say that he too wishes to bring Akron their first championship.

Some people that take everything too seriously might see this as Curry disrespecting Akron, or that he can’t do this because he didn’t even spend a year of his life in Ohio, but we’re pretty sure everybody knows that Curry is just playing around with the situation. He knows it’s a strange coincidence that both players were born in the same place, and decided to have some fun with that. If there’s one thing about Curry, he knows how to have fun with his team, the fans, and even the media. The crazier part is how quickly he changes when he walks on to a basketball court. The fun loving Curry is gone, and replaced with an intense monster that talks trash and runs back on defense before his shot has gone in.

LeBron and Curry have two things in common. They were both born in Akron, and their confidence is strong enough to break through a brick wall.
