Lil B is trying to take credit for Cavaliers NBA Finals woes
By Josh Hill
The Cleveland Cavaliers lost Game 1 of the NBA Finals, and rapper Lil B is trying to claim credit for cursing the team.
If you’ve watched the NBA even remotely this postseason, then you’re familiar with rapper Lil B. While he hasn’t had a hit record dropped a hot single, he’s been hanging around the pop culture lexicon, cursing everyone and anyone he deems it necessary to.
The two biggest players dealing with the Lil B curse are Kevin Durant and James Harden — both of whom are out of the postseason. Durant never made the postseason but was plagued with injuries all season long, while Harden’s trip to the playoffs was cut short in the Conference Finals.
All of this, presumably, has to do with Lil B and his voodoo curse. The rapper supposedly placed a curse on Durant that won’t be lifted until they play one-on-one together, while Harden has ben cursed for “stealing” Lil B’s cook dance.
With both of those players out of the postseason and Lil B’s cause for relevancy fading, he has acted fast and cursed the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After the Cavaliers lost Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, Lil B took to Twitter in an effort to try and take credit for why they lost. Apparently it all stems back to the Cook Dance Curse — something Lil B needs to just let go.
It’s hard to take this curse seriously if it’s smeared on the wall every time Lil B feels like reminding us that is may or may not be a thing.
