It’s been an exciting NCAA Baseball Tournament so far here in 2015, but with the Super Regionals upon us now, it’s time to start filling up the slots in the College World Series in Omaha. Well the first of the eight teams is in, and it’s the Miami Hurricanes that are headed to Omaha.

The Hurricanes started their journey to Omaha by getting out of the Coral Gables region with a 3-1 record. From there, they made it to the Super Regionals where they were paired up with a pretty touch VCU Rams team.
However, they had more than the upper hand on VCU in the best-of-three series and it showed throughout the course of the last two days. After a close 3-2 win over VCU on Friday, Miami came out on Saturday in Game 2 and they punched their ticket to Omaha in dominant fashion with a 10-3 win. They were clicking on all cylinders on Saturday afternoon and they’ll look to keep that momentum rolling in Omaha when the College World Series gets underway shortly.
This will be the first trip for the Hurricanes to the College World Series since 2008.
