Mareesse Speights missed a wide open dunk on a fastbreak, and he proceeded to take out a ref while running for the loose ball that ensued. This is what we assume he was thinking as it took place.

“Alright Mo buckets. This is your moment. Right here Right now. You got the ball on the fastbreak in the NBA Finals, and the crowd is ready to explode. Just throw down a dunk here and you’ll be on highlight reels everywhere. Okay. Approaching the rim. Take a look behind me and I got this. Here we go. Rising up anddddddd uh oh I can’t dunk this, LAY IT IN! LAY IT IN! MO BUCKETS WHAT ARE YOU DOING NO!”

I GOTTA SAVE THIS! NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. GET THE LOOSE BALL! Ah dammit that Australian punk is in my way. Get out of my way Australian guy.”

“NO! LOOK OUT REF!…..the ref is on top of me, and I missed a dunk….I’m not going on twitter after the game.”

We’re sorry Mo. We still love you, and we’ll be sure to highlight you when you bring the Warriors back and win them Game 2 as a redemption moment.
