NBA Finals 2015: Did Matthew Dellavedova try to take out Draymond Green? (Video)

Matthew Dellavedova has been labeled a dirty player thanks to moves like the one he busted out in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Draymond Green.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to win the NBA Finals, and one of the big pieces that has helped them get where they are is Matthew Dellavedova. He’s hustled hard and been a tenacious defender — but his style of play has gotten him labeled as a dirty player.

That label is coming back in Game 3 of the NBA Finals — even if Delly isn’t that dirty of a player.

Here’s the play in question, where it seems as though Dellavedova went low on Draymond Green to take him out after getting knocked down.

Was that really a take out move? Without context it’s just a guy going after another guy for knocking him to the ground, but fans have evidence to believe that Delly’s bump was premeditated.

Here’s Dellavedova taking out Kyle Korver in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals:

Look familiar? That was preceded by Dellavedova taking out Taj Gibson in a less aggressive manner. In that instance, Delly baited Gibson into getting himself ejected by way of kicking the guard while he was down.

It’s things like this that get Dellavedova labeled a dirty player, and Warriors fans won’t be happy about his little move on Draymond Green. There’s motive behind Delly wanting to take out Green, as LeBron James was fouled hard by Green in Game 2 and it wasn’t called a foul.

It wasn’t a foul — at least not a playoff foul — but it’s not hard to connect the dots between Green’s foul on LeBron and this takedown by Delly.
