What Is Mike Dunleavy’s Future?

Since joining the Bulls in 2013, Mike Dunleavy has been a solid addition to the roster. His three point shooting ability is pretty rare, and he isn’t that bad of a defender either, despite what people say about him and guarding quicker forwards.

When it comes to Dunleavy, the Bulls have to ask themselves: “Is it really worth it to keep this veteran sharp shooter on a team that isn’t getting any younger as it is?”

I would probably say not really in response to that question. Dunleavy is 34 years old. And his production isn’t going to see anything close to the value he was offering the Pacers back in 2008.

However, if the Bulls are going to make a title run this next year with their first year head coach in Hoiberg, they are going to need the veteran presence Dunleavy offers the team. There aren’t that many guys out there who can spread the floor like Dunleavy can. Besides, he flows so well with the Bulls offense as it is. So why break up something that has seen some success already?
