Delly had 20 points on 7-17 from the field, along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. You read those scoring figures correctly. Matthew Dellavedova, Archduke of Grit-land, who scraps his way to any sort of production, gunned his way to a 20-point outing JR Smith style. And crazily enough, it worked! He dropped one timely bucket after another, supplementing LeBron James’ magnificent near-triple-double enough so that the Cavaliers could take an improbable 2-1 series lead over the Golden State Warriors. And when there was a loose ball late in the game that ultimately put Cleveland over the top, of course it was Delly that recovered it. What a world. Here’s his most ridiculous bucket on the night, as well as the loose ball win.

LeBron James drops yet another spectacular performance

The King made the entire Warriors squad look unworthy of his presence again, as he scored 40 points on 14-34 shooting, and recorded 12 rebounds and 8 assists. This version of LeBron is unlike any we’ve seen of him in the Finals. Usually he reads the defense, calculates, and then makes the best basketball decision possible. Against the Warriors, without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love to supply points, James is taking things into his own hands. He’s gone full-Kobe, isolating versus whomever dares to guard him, and getting a good shot off anyways. This may not be the most efficient style of play, but it’s one of the most fun, and it’s the one the Cavaliers need him to play.

David Lee is still alive!

After seeing Draymond Green play like a shell of himself for a majority of Game 3, Warriors coach Steve Kerr decided to dust off David Lee from storage, and threw him out there to see what would happen. The results were pretty good. Lee did well in pick-and-roll, finding open shooters as he rolled hard to the basket, and rebounded well. He finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal all in 13 key minutes that helped the Warriors come back and have a chance to win the game. Golden State’s offense has struggled to flow in the past couple of games with Green’s inability to establish himself as a threat. If Lee can find shooters on the roll and score a bit, he might become the offensive spark that the Warriors need.
