Even with only ten games on tap for today, there is still some great fantasy baseball opportunities from today’s schedule in Major League Baseball.  Starting pitchers are one of the keys to fantasy success in any format, so to help you get your rotation set every morning you can check out our daily starting pitcher rankings with a breakdown of every probable pitcher.

With just 20 probables for today, there are fewer choices, but that only makes having the right starter even more significant.  If you are playing in a  season-long league there are some nice streaming starter options for today as well as some good value to be had in daily fantasy baseball.

If you are interested in checking out a daily fantasy baseball forman, you can get started by clicking the box to the right for a link to FanDuel which is one of many sites that offer daily fantasy baseball.   Especially in FanDuel’s format with only a single starting pitcher, getting the right starter at the right price can make all the difference between taking home some cash and leaving disappointed.

We always welcome your feedback on the bottom of the page in the comments or by following  @FansidedFantasy on Twitter.  You can find all our ongoing coverage  on our fantasy baseball hub where we’ll be posting new rankings all week long as well as the best batter vs pitcher matchups to target for each day (today’s top 10 here).

I’ve divided today’s options in to stay-away options, high-risk options, sleeper options, solid starter options, and star options. Included under each player is a key statistic or two which explains their position in today’s starting pitcher rankings.

Stay-away Options

@ Pirates. Kevin Correia. 30. player. 6. The Phillies just signed Kevin Correia a few days ago and are inserting him into their rotation in Severino Gonzalez’s spot.  Correia had been in the Giants Triple-A affiliate and posted a 0-1 record with a 3.58 ERA.  He exercised an opt-out clause for an MLB opportunity, and he’ll get it starting tonight against the Pirates his former team.  It’s hard to know what to expect from Correia in his first MLB start of the season, and last year’s 7-17 record with a 5.44 ERA aren’t that hopeful.. Philadelphia Phillies

player. 21. Andriese gets his fourth start of the season for Tampa, but he has yet to work more than four innings in any outing in two stints with Tampa, and that four-inning appearance came out of the bullpen.  He is 0-1 with a 4.79 ERA in his four games in the Major Leagues this season, and his lack of innings makes him an option with little upside for today’s start.. Tampa Bay Rays. vs White Sox. Matt Andriese. 29

135. Oberholtzer was an early part of the Astros youth movement, but he has struggled since joining the rotation.  In his three MLB starts this season he has totaled just 12 innings while allowing seven runs (five earned) striking out eight and issuing seven free passes.  Until he gets more MLB success, he can be left alone in fantasy baseball.. Houston Astros. vs Mariners. Brett Oberholtzer. 28. player
