Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari don’t feel like Chicago is home
By Mike Dyce
Chicago doesn’t feel like home to Bears quarterback Jay Cutler according to his wife Kristin Cavallari.
When you’re the franchise quarterback of an NFL team you’re supposed to be all in on that city. Remember when a young Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James caught a lot of heat for wearing a New York Yankees hat when they came to town to play the Indians?
Well it looks like the relationship between Chicago Bears fans and quarterback Jay Cutler is going to be getting a little bumpy this summer. In an interview with Elle magazine, Cutler’s wife Kristin Cavallari said he isn’t really fond of the Windy City.
“Jay hates L.A.,” Cavallari said, “and Chicago’s not home.”
I imagine there is a substantial amount of fans who don’t necessarily like having Cutler on the Bears, and a larger group of fans who would say that they can tell it doesn’t feel like home for Cutler.
The hating Los Angeles comment is in reference to Cavallari discussing her hesitation to move to Chicago to be with Cutler because of her desire to be in the entertainment industry.
“I was a little nervous at first, to be honest, just because I didn’t … it’s sort of always been ingrained in me that if you want to be in the entertainment business, you either have to be in LA or New York. And so when I married Jay, I officially moved to Chicago. I was a little scared. I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted to do with my career, but everything has sort of fallen into place with the shoes, especially, the jewelry, and now this book,” Cavallari said.
The couple also have a home in Nashville, which is a great city but you’d have to think Cavallari would take Chicago over Nashville any day.
We’ll see if Chicago fans for give him or boo him for these latest transgressions against their city.
Still, despite not feeling that Chicago is home, actor Vince Vaughn would probably still buy his dinner because it’s his town and that’s how they treat people.
