Kasey Kahne will be out front this Sunday when the green flag drops on the NASCAR Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

One of the big narratives about Michigan International Speedway is that it is a track commonly dominated by Hendrick Motorsports. Thus far the narrative continues to remain intact as Kasey Kahne edged out Kevin Harvick to win the pole for this Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 in Brooklyn, Michigan.

Much like last week, Harvick dominated the first two rounds of qualifying but failed to hold onto the top spot in the final round. It appeared as if he was going to take the pole this week, but Kahne just edged him by a few tenths of a second.

The other big winner in qualifying on Friday was Brad Keselowski. Keselowski, a native of Michigan, has never won before on his home track at Michigan International Speedway. He will have a great chance of doing so this weekend as he starts third, just behind Kahne and Harvick.

After weeks of struggling, it looks like the Fords of Team Penske, are finally getting it together as Joey Logano had a great run at Pocono last week, and Keselowski had a great round of qualifying on Friday.

As for the rest of Hendrick Motorsports, Kahne will have two of his teammates in the top-8 with him, as Jeff Gordon sits in sixth position and Jimmie Johnson sits in eighth.

Here is the complete starting grid for Sunday’s race.
