The Cleveland Cavaliers are down 3-2 in the NBA Finals, and they’re returning home with they backs against the wall like never before this season. The problems are numerous for the Cavaliers, but it seems people are pinning most of the issues on a popular target — LeBron James.

So far in the NBA Finals, LeBron James is averaging 36.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game, but that’s not good enough to shunt criticism. Being the best player on the planet brings that about, but it also gives you the best comeback to the very criticism it causes.

After the Game 5 loss to the Golden State Warriors, LeBron James dropped the mic on the played out narrative that he’s the underdog and is nervous about the Cavaliers losing the NBA Finals.

Simply put, LeBron James is the best player on the planet and he knows it.

The Cavaliers probably won’t lose Game 6, as LeBron James isn’t going to let that happen. The plan was to return to Cleveland for Game 6 just 48 minuets away from his first title with his first franchise, but the tables have been turned.

In that same vein, while LeBron James is as inspired as he’s ever been in his career to win, he’s nearly averaging a triple-double in the NBA Finals and it’s still not enough to will the Cavaliers into winning.
