Complete list of golf’s U.S. Open winners
A list of all the golfers ever to win the U.S. Open, from 1895 to 2014.
The 115th U.S. Open tees off from Chambers Bay Golf Course this year, taking place, for the first time in the tournament’s 120-year history, in the Pacific Northwest.
Four players are tied for the most wins in U.S. Open tournament history – Willie Anderson, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones and Jack Nicklaus all have four titles. The record for a low round is Rory McIlroy’s recent 16-under par scorcher from 2011.
Below is a look at the champion of every U.S. Open tournament since 1895, with the player’s round, if available, in parentheses. The years when play was suspended due to World Wars has been noted in the list.
