It’s been just over three weeks since Chelsea lifted the English Premier League championship trophy, but it’s already time to start thinking about next season.
Fans can really start thinking about the 2015-16 season following the release of the fixture list on Wednesday. The season is not all that far away, with action kicking off on August 8.
The full list of all 380 matches can be found on the Premier League’s website. Here are the 10 matches that will take place on opening day.

Easily the most interesting match on the first day is Tottenham’s fixture against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Manchester United improved dramatically under first-year head coach Louis van Gaal and figure to land some big names during the offseason.
Defending champion Chelsea starts off with a winnable home match against Swansea City before things get tougher fast. Chelsea will travel to Manchester City during the second week of the season for a clash between the two early favorites and host Arsenal on September 19.
Reeling Liverpool gets the toughest early season schedule by far. After a trip to Stoke City, where it lost 6-1 on the final day of last season, Liverpool has a road match against Arsenal on August 22 and a visit to Manchester United on September 12. Embattled manager Brendan Rodgers will be fighting to keep his job next year and cannot be too happy with the schedule makers.
AFC Bournemouth is the only team making its debut in the EPL and will host its first ever match against Aston Villa. The club could face some bad news at the end of the season if it’s in a relegation battle, with a visit to Manchester United on the final day of the season.
Other title contenders Arsenal and Chelsea also have fairly easy home matches to close out the season. Manchester City has the most difficult final match of any favorite with a trip to Swansea City.
