Halfway through 2015 here, not many people will argue that Kevin Owens has maybe been the MVP of WWE. Whether it was the way he took over NXT or what he’s doing on the WWE main roster right now, it seems as if this man can do no wrong and he’s certainly on his way to super stardom.

Well, you can now add Hulk Hogan to the list of fans that Owens has accrued.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Hogan did not hold back one bit when he talked about how impressed he has been with Kevin Owens and everything he’s been doing.

"“Kevin actually reminds me of one of the older wrestlers of the late Seventies, some of those guys that didn’t have the build, but they would scare you if you met them at a bar. What hooked me about him was that I was watching a match of his on NXT and I found myself disassociated with being in the moment, all of a sudden I started watching him and he made me believe again. I watched real close, and there were no holes in his boat – his punches, his kicks, everything he did looked like it was killing the guy, which it probably was. He caught me with my guard down and he made me a believer again, he hooked me. He’s got that look, man; that demeanor and that swagger.”"

Well, you can’t really be mad about that if you’re Kevin Owens. He’s been getting praise from a lot of people as of late, but when Hulk Hogan gushes over you like that, you know that you must be doing something right.

It’s kind of fitting that Hogan would make these comments about Owens, especially when you consider that the current NXT champion is embroiled in a feud with the Hulk Hogan of this generation, John Cena. It also makes you wonder how well Owens as a heel would have worked against Hogan back in the day; not the nWo Hogan, but the 1980s WWF version of Hogan. The feud those two could have had would have been tremendous.

But for now, Owens is just going to have to take the praise that he’s getting from Hogan, which knowing how big of a wrestling fan he’s always been, he’s probably more than alright with.
