LeBron James puts NBA on notice, promises to get better
By Mike Dyce
After falling short in the NBA Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has vowed to get better.
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a roller coaster offseason, from losing superstars Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, to taking a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals.
Ultimately they fell short of a championship and the Golden State Warriors won the trophy, their depth overwhelming a depleted Cavaliers team.
Despite losing, Cavaliers superstar LeBron James had a historic NBA Finals. James led both teams in points, rebounds and assists averaging 35.8, 13.3 and 8.8 respectively, nearly a triple double. He even garnered MVP votes despite losing the finals.
And James is vowing to come back even stronger in his first social media post since the Finals ended.
“It hurt to lose,” James wrote on Facebook. “I’ve been in a funk lately, but this… this is what motivates me to do what I do. How can I ever be down when I know my kids and my fans have my back?
“Being back home and back with my fans is everything that I dreamed of. Thank you for an incredible season. I’m not satisfied… I’m not happy with the way things turned out… I PROMISE to get better.”
James being even better than his NBA Finals version of himself is a scary thought. The rest of the NBA has been warned and put on notice.
Never forget.
