Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton can hit a baseball really hard and really far. Yes, this is a pretty obvious statement at this point, but it still doesn’t make it any less enjoyable to watch him prove it to us.
On Wednesday night with the Marlins taking on the St. Louis Cardinals, Stanton was able to collect his Major League-leading 27th home run of the season and it was one of the more impressive ones that he’s put over the wall. For this one, Stanton just launches an absolute laser over the center field wall that left the park before you can really even blink.
In case you can’t see it, the number on the wall back there says 418 feet, and Stanton was able to clear all of that and then some. The power of this guy seemingly has no limits. This wasn’t a towering upper deck shot that usually has people dropping their jaws, but when you really think about the circumstances here, it’s just as impressive of a feat if not more so.
Watching Giancarlo Stanton play the game of baseball is definitely one of the best activities for any sports fan at this point.
