The NBA Draft is tonight, and the best college and international stars of today are being drafted to become NBA stars of tomorrow.

There aren’t many events quite like professional sports drafts. It’s easy to chalk them up as nothing more than glorified lotteries, but there is a process which involves so much time and effort that goes into picking a player you want to be the star of your franchise.

It’s this process which makes drafts so special but also critically important to the future of a franchise. The NBA Draft is the first glimpse we get at players who could develop into the All-Stars and Hall of Famers of the future, and it’s also a time where teams need to make sure they get their picks right or risk losing out on a potential stud.

No one has the draft down to a science, even if some think they do. What the draft presents is a chance to grab hold of the future before it arrives and make due with what you have and what lies ahead all at the same time.

Here’s a look at the complete draft order and which teams picked which prospects to be their bright stars of the future.
