The Miami Heat are trying to make a late move for one of the top guards in the NBA Draft in Emmanuel Mudiay

The NBA Draft is literally just moments away here on this Thursday night, and the Miami Heat are one of the teams that are attempting to make a late move that might shock a few people.

According to ESPN’s Andy Katz just a short time ago on the broadcast, the Heat have indeed been making attempts to get up further in the order so they can take one of the more hyped players in this class, Emmanuel Mudiay.

As Winderman from the Sun-Sentinel pointed out above, the move does come across as odd, especially given the word that we’ve been hearing lately about the money they’re preparing to offer Goran Dragic.

Could this be a move in which they prepare themselves to actually let Dragic walk this summer and they try to start from scratch at that guard position? Is this a move in which they’re potentially preparing for a life without Dwyane Wade?

There are a lot of questions to be asked here with this potential move, and it’ll be interesting to see what the Heat do in the near future if they can indeed make it happen.

We’ll find out in a few moments here as the NBA Draft gets underway.
