LeBron James is going to sit back and watch the Cavaliers front office do their work before he inks that dotted line

We all know that LeBron James will opt out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but it’s also understood that he’ll end up re-signing with the team. This was something that we all understood when he decided to return to his home-state team last July. But what we don’t know is when exactly LeBron will re-sign the deal with the Cavaliers this summer.

According to a report from Cleveland.com, before LeBron James does re-sign with the Cavaliers, he’s going to sit back and see what the Cleveland front office does as far as personnel around him.

Of course, the first name that comes to mind is Tristan Thompson, who made himself a very rich man with his performance this past postseason. While LeBron was arguably the MVP of the team for that NBA Finals run, there’s no question that Thompson was next in line as the most valuable asset on that team. LeBron certainly feels they can make another run at the title with Thompson on the court with him, so you’d have to imagine giving him that money will ease LeBron’s mind a bit.

Then there’s the case of Kevin Love, but although we know LeBron won’t be recruiting him like he did last summer, the Cavaliers seem pretty set on giving him a nice deal, so he’ll more than likely be back next season in Cleveland.

No matter the case, LeBron will be back with the Cavaliers next season, but before it becomes official some others around him are going to have to make it official first.
