Last night during the 2015 NBA Draft, we sent a bunch of emails back and forth as the picks were coming in. Here we go, our real-time 2015 NBA Draft recap.

Draft day, Friendly Bounce.

Any pre-draft thoughts? I can’t wait for the Knicks pick. Oh man I wish I was able to watch to hear the crowd’s reaction when something bizarre happens.

The Hornets are gonna make like 20 million trades aren’t they?

Ian (@IanDougherty):

I have a feeling that tonight is about to be as zany as it gets on draft night. This is going to be fun.

Chris:

Someone on twitter just said that Porzingis looks like Slenderman cause of his suit. Lmaooo.

Zach Oliver (@ZachOliverNBA):

I think it’s going to be really interesting. The Knicks could do so many different things that changes the entire draft, be that in a good or a bad way.

Jack: 

Glad the Wolves made the smart choice with Towns and didn’t try to get cute.

David West to the Knicks rumor is interesting. Not really sure why he’d want to go there to finish up his career.

Zach: 

That’s a mistake by the Lakers.

Chris:

Love that pick for the Lakers. Russell is gonna be awesome.

Side note, the Hornets new sleeved unis are awful.

Happy I missed the Towns parents interview because man I do not like his father and the last time I saw his mother she flipped off a bunch of high schoolers. So yeah.

Ian:

The Hezonja/JR comparisons are really so wonderful.

Jack:

Love the Mario pick for the Magic.

Someone is gonna get a steal on Winslow. Really surprised he keeps falling.

Chris:

Wouldn’t mind Winslow in Charlotte.

Jack:

Really hoping Danny can swing a trade here to take Winslow. Can’t understand Detroit taking Stanley Johnson over him.

Jack: 

Winslow is future Wade.

Chris:

I don’t get why the Hornets didn’t take Winslow. That’s insane. Considering how long the pick took this has gotta be a trade.

I AM BALLS TO THE WALLS EXCITED.

Matt:

The Bucks were doing everything well and now we have up a first round pick for a guy on an expiring contract who will outplay our big trade acquisition last year and I hate things.

Chris:

I’ll have to remind Hornets fans that sometimes it’s not all that bad.

Jack:

Ya I don’t get that trade at all. Like getting General Greivis is great but for a future first? John Hammon… hell you doin?

My only comforting thought is that if you think that this team will be in any good between 2017-2021, then that pick is at least mid-20s. 46 was meh. Still very weird.

Matt:

Yeah I mean it was the Clippers pick and was lottery protected so it’s not a killer. Just strange because I would be surprise if this turns out to be more than a one year rental. But in the long run its not a huge deal considering they are still gonna have a pick anyway.

Matt:

I was so excited that Portis could end up a Buck when the Celtics did whatever they did. But trusting Kidd and the front office here.

Eric:

I thought for sure it was Portis.

Jack:

Yo, who the hell is Terry Rozier, lol.

Chris:

I agree.

Looney left the green room without being picked. Ugh, that sucks.

Eric:

Chris:

Gonna cheer for him from now on.

Jack:

Oh no. Looney’s my guy.

Chris:

He got picked by the Dubs and came back so he still had his moment.

Wes:

Looney to the Dubs is awesome. I thought he was a poor man’s Harrison Barnes.

Ian:

Jalen Rose has made some disrespectful draft comparisons. Compared Rashad Vaughn to Dion Waiters. Kevin Looney to Hakim Warrick. Montrezl Harrell to JJ Hickson.

Chris:

He has no idea what he’s talking about it and it’s so obvious.

Jack:

Oof.

Matt:

Roziers stock should have been killed by that. That sounds horrific.

Chris:

Pelicans finish the draft doing the most Pelicans thing ever and sell the pick.
