Sign Dwyane Wade

There’s a chance that Dwyane Wade opts in with the Miami Heat the summer, but if he bolts and looks for work elsewhere, the Cavaliers front office would be wise to get him on board. There’s a need for Wade on the roster, as he could play minutes here and there in the regular season but largely stay rested for postseason depth.

Cleveland lost the NBA Finals because they just ran out of players who could  be impactful. You can’t win a title when your sixth option is suddenly a starter and your Big 3 is reduced to one.

In addition the roster support that Wade gives, he’d provide an extra veteran voice in the locker room. LeBron did a fine job of running the ship himself this season, but he needs a co-pilot and that was why he worked so well with Wade in Miami. He won’t be an All-Star addition, but Wade is a mercenary looking for rings, and what better place to attempt that then next to the guy who helped win you two?
