Tobias Harris will re-sign with the Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic were able to retain one of their talented young players as Tobias Harris agreed on a deal to return to the team.
The Orlando Magic have one of the youngest and most exciting cores in the league and they now will be keeping one of those players. According to reports, the Orlando Magic will be keeping free agent forward Tobias Harris who was a restricted free agent.
It’s an interesting move as many wondered whether or not he would remain the team as he played with new head coach Scott Skiles while he was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. After he left Milwaukee, he became a productive player for the Magic and began putting up points.
It’s clear that Skiles and company want to keep him, and now he joins one of the youngest yet impressive rosters that includes Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic and Mario Hezonja. Even more incredible is the fact that Harris is only 22 years old and is still developing.
At 64 million over four years, the Magic are really paying him to keep him, but with the increasing salary cap, he should slide right in easily as they eventually pay the rest of their young talent.
If he and the rest of the Magic continue to blossom, they could be something special.
