Happy Fourth of July!  If you plan on including fantasy baseball along with your fireworks for this Saturday, there are some options you should definitely be aware of as  you put your lineup together.  Check out my top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups on the following slides for some options to consider as you get your holiday lineup finalized.

Most of the games today take place during the day starting early at 11:05 AM ET in Washington where the Nats host the World Champion Giants.  Due to the way the games are spread out, there should be baseball from then until well after midnight, so get ready for plenty of hardball all day long.

With so many options to choose from, one factor that can help find the very best matchup is batter vs pitcher history.  While success in the past doesn’t guarantee that a batter will contribute today, it can be an important factor to consider.  To help you find the best of those matchups each day, check out my daily batter vs pitcher post.

In each post, I always try to include a variety of teams and positions  to help you fill as many slots on your roster as possible. Today, there is a good mix of potential sleepers as well as a few big names with good batter vs pitcher numbers against the starting pitcher they are scheduled to face today.

If you find this information helpful and would like to make our coverage a regular part of your fantasy baseball routine, set a bookmark on the fantasy baseball hub.  You can also follow @FansidedFantasy on Twitter where I’ll tweet out links to the daily posts as well.

If you are looking to try out a daily league fantasy baseball league today, one option to consider is FanDuel who runs daily competitions each day of the MLB season. You can get there by clicking the link in the box above or the link at the end of the post.

Have a happy and safe Fourth of July, and hopefully these top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups provide some fireworks for your lineup throughout this Saturday.

10. Manny Machado-3B-Baltimore Orioles: Machado doesn’t have a large sample size against White Sox probable starter Jeff Samardzija, but he has lit him up when he has met him in the past.  In his career, Machado is 5-6 (.833) with a double, two homers, and three RBI against Samardzija.

9. Carlos Ruiz-C-Philadelphia Phillies: In a little bit larger sample size but still smaller than most option son our list, Phillies’ catcher Carlos Ruiz has had success against Braves’ starer Alex Wood.  Ruiz is 6-9 (.667) against Wood with a pair of doubles and five RBI.

8. Juan Uribe-3B-Atlanta Braves: Last night, Uribe hit a key home run in the Braves win over the Phillies, and he’ll look to contribute again today as Atlanta faces Kevin Correia. Uribe has gone 8-20 (.400) in the past against Correia with a double and a home run.
