The starters for the 2015 MLB All Star Game were announced on Sunday and the Cardinals and Marlins each have two starters in the lineup. The manager for the NL team is, of course, Giants skipper Bruce Bochy. Here is the full list of NL starters:
At first base is Paul Goldschimdt of the Diamondbacks.
At second base is Dee Gordon of the Marlins.
At shortstop is Jhonny Peralta of the Cardinals.
At third base is Todd Frazier of the hosting Cincinnati Reds.
At catcher is Buster Posey of the Giants.
In the outfield are the Nationals’ Bryce Harper, the Marlins Giancarlo Stanton and the Cardinals Matt Holliday.
Bryce Harper received 13.9 million votes to lead all the NL contestants, and deservedly so considering how well he’s played in this first half. Even though Stanton is named to the starter list, he is currently on the DL with a broken bone in his hand and will not play in the All Star Game. The Cardinals Matt Holliday is currently on the DL as well. With two injured starters, the reserves come into play for the NL and those were announced Monday.
Here are the NL reserves:
NL reserve INF:
Nolan Arenado
Kris Bryant
Brandon Crawford
Adrian Gonzalez
DJ LeMahieu
Joe Panik
Anthony Rizzo
NL reserve OF:
Andrew McCutchen (will start for Stanton)
Joc Pederson
A.J. Pollock
Justin Upton
NL reserve catchers:
Yasmani Grandal
Yadier Molina
The NL pitchers will be:
NL starting pitchers:
Madison Bumgarner
A.J. Burnett
Gerrit Cole
Jacob deGrom
Zack Greinke
Shelby Miller
Max Scherzer
Michael Wacha
The starting pitcher selection will be made by the manager, in this case Bruce Bochy. He may have to pass up his own pitcher with these candidates on the list:
Zack Greinke: 1.48 ERA
Max Scherzer: 1.82 ERA
Gerrit Cole: 12 W, 2.28 ERA
NL relievers:
Aroldis Chapman
Mark Melancon
Jonathan Papelbon

Trevor Rosenthal
The NL Final Vote candidates are:
Johnny Cueto, Reds
Jeurys Familia, Mets
Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers
Carlos Martinez, Cardinals
Troy Tulowitzki, Rockies
Fans can vote on the remaining player until Friday, July 10.
The All-Star Game will be played on July 14th in Cincinnati. You can catch it on Fox at 7:30 ET.
