FanDuel Picks For July 8

More from DFS

Welcome back to the best place to get fantasy sports advice across multiple sports. Today I am going to give you my best picks and choices for your FanDuel lineups that I can. My advice is based purely on mathematical and statistical analysis and I try to avoid using player biases and so forth.

NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.

Here are my FanDuel picks for July 8:

Next: FanDuel Pitcher Options

Jun 21, 2015; Philadelphia, PA, USA; St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha (52) walks off the field after the first inning against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Mandatory Credit: Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Pitcher Options:

Michael Wacha, Cardinals ($8,600): I like Wacha for this lineup on the 8th. I don’t really understand why he is cheaper than Jason Hammel, but I will happily take it. I am expecting a pitcher’s duel tomorrow and either guy will probably pitch a solid game. He has been over 12 fantasy points in five of his last six games and should be able to ring that up easily.

Scott Kazmir, Athletics ($9,300): Kazmir is a solid option for Wednesday, but I think I would prefer Wacha when the price is figured in. Kazmir could wind up with a few more fantasy points than Wacha, but I don’t really think it will be $700 worth. Kazmir has been solid as of late and should continue to be solid moving forward. I did not really like any of the cheaper options so Wacha will probably be my guy for lineups Wednesday.

  • Asdrubal Cabrera, Rays ($2,700): Cabrera is not one o those super sexy options, but at his price tag and the way he has been playing lately he should be good for three to five points in the games on the 8th. He has also been great for his career against Jeremy Guthrie going 9/30 with a home run. He should be able to hit safely for us and save up some money since we spent a little more on pitchers than I like to.

Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays ($4,900): Josh Donaldson is a little bit pricey, but I have included him in this list becuase he has done well against John Danks in the past. Even though it is only 11 at-bats he has a .545 average with two homers and six RBI. I like those kind of odds.

Jason Heyward, Cardinals ($3,400): I think my key here is to suggest Heyward until he has a monster game. No I am not serious, but the numbers seem to suggest that he could have a good game Wednesday. He has hit Hammel really well in the past and should be a guy who will hit safely for us. Over 16 at-bats he sports a .575 average against him.

Chris Colabello, Blue Jays ($3,100): Colabello has been pretty solid over the past five games and his hit safely in each of them. He has also hit a home run in his last two games. He has only started every other game this month, but he should be due for a start on the 8th. You will certainly want to check back and make sure that he is a go, but if he is, he should be a safe bet for great return on this price tag.

As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
