Mark Cuban didn’t attend the press conference for their new rookies, presumably to try and keep DeAndre Jordan from changing his mind on free agency.

The Dallas Mavericks are introducing their rookies at a press conference on Wednesday.

You might have noticed one notable person wasn’t present for the event, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. That’s because Mark Cuban is scrambling to salvage their big free agent signing, who hasn’t signed yet cause he can’t until tomorrow, DeAndre Jordan.

The Los Angeles Clippers aren’t ready to call it a quit just yet and are making a final push to try and re-sign the center.

And Jordan himself is apparently having second thoughts about signing with Dallas.

The Clippers reportedly are responding to the doubt initially expressed by Jordan, and while he felt slighted by the lack of players present at his meeting the first time, they’ve brought reinforcements.

It would be hard to leave Los Angeles for Dallas, the natural beauty of the two doesn’t compare. That being said Jordan is from Texas, so he appreciates what they have to offer.

As for Cuban, scrambling to try and keep your big fish from getting away is a risky proposition. You have to reassure him of the sales pitch you made the first time around without letting on to a little frustration that he is backing out.

It makes you wonder if Cuban will bring Chandler Parsons back to rekindle the bromance magic.
