NBA Free Agency Winners: 7 teams that will make deep playoff runs
By Josh Hill
The Cleveland Cavaliers were just two wins away from their first ever NBA Finals victory but they didn’t have the depth or health to beat the Warriors. That is something that has changed in a big way, as the Cavaliers are sparing no expense in getting the roster they need to win the NBA Finals.
Cleveland brought back Kevin Love on a max deal and re-signed Iman Shumpert to be their perimeter guard when LeBron is on the floor. This gives the Cavs a core of LeBron, Love, Shumpert, Kyrie and Mozgov — which is devastating considering the bench additions they made.
Mo Williams returning adds another veteran voice to the locker room in Cleveland and returns one of LeBron’s original partners to town. If Cleveland can move Brendan Haywood’s contract for someone like Jamal Crawford, that would further complete a roster which could still add Amare Stoudemire and Carlos Boozer.
Basically, the Cavaliers aren’t interested in losing the NBA Finals again and will spare no expense to get back and finally win it.
