Florida State’s star running back Dalvin Cook is in hot water now as he is being investigated for a possible battery of a woman at a Tallahassee bar.

If it’s not one thing, it’s another for the Florida State Seminoles as sophomore running back Dalvin Cook is now being investigated for a possible battery of a woman outside of a Tallahassee bar on June 23.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the incident occurred just one day before the infamous De’Andre Johnson assault of a female at a nightclub. The former backup quarterback was booted from the team after video was released of him punching a woman at a nightclub and he was charged with misdemeanor battery.

This is starting to give the school a black eye as Johnson’s video was brutal and we can only hope Cook’s situation is not nearly as ugly.

The sophomore running back was expected to be a feature in Florida State’s offense this year as he rushed for over 1,000 yards as a freshman in 2014 with eight touchdowns on a 5.9 yards per carry average.

Not many people expected that type of breakout season for Cook as Karlos Williams came into the campaign as the team’s No. 1 option at running back.

Moving forward, however, Florida State will need to look into a possible backup to take over the starting role, which shouldn’t be too difficult with all the talent still on the roster. This will be a big blow to a unit that is already losing Jameis Winston and having to rely on a new starting quarterback to lead the team.

The 21-year-old victim, whose name is being protected, is pressing charges and Cook’s investigation is expected to be very thorough.

In case you don’t know this is the third incident with Florida State players over the past couple of years when it comes to legal issues pertaining to female victims.

Let’s hope these kids learn from their mistakes.
