This final weekend before the All Star break is showcasing some nice divisional matchups in Major League Baseball and featuring some regional rivalries as well.  Every team is scheduled to play today with seven games starting at around 4:00 PM ET and seven more at 7:00 PM ET giving us two very nice windows for daily fantasy baseball.  To help you get your lineup started, check out my DraftKings fantasy baseball picks for this Saturday, July 11.

More from Boston Red Sox

While similar picks could be used on any of the many sites that offer daily fantasy baseball, the salaries and roster structure are based on DraftKings.  If you choose to play on FanDuel, Draftster, FantasyAces, or the new Yahoo daily fantasy site, my lineups would be similar with maybe some minor adjustments based on player pricing and scoring differences.

Whatever site you choose to play on, if you have a question about your DFS or season-long baseball team, you can find me @FansidedFantasy on Twitter throughout the day.  I’ll also keep you up to date if I have to adjust my lineups below as lineups come out later today and weather threatens to impact the schedule. If you are looking for more of our fantasy baseball coverage, make sure to drop a bookmark on our fantasy baseball hub.

Let’s get right to my DraftKings fantasy baseball picks for Saturday starting with my all-day lineup followed by my early games from the 4:00 start, my evening games which start at 7:00 or later, and my late-night lineup which utilizes the three games starting at 10:00 or later.

All Day Lineup

SP-Chris Sale-Chicago White Sox: Sale’s recent strikeout binge make him a must-own in fantasy baseball.  He lost his string of eight straight double-digits strikeout starts in his last outing but picked up the win while holding a potent Blue Jays attack to just two runs on six hits in his complete game win.  Sale is expensive, but he is averaging almost 35 DraftKings points per start over his last ten games, so fit him in your lineup if you can as he faces the free-swinging Cubs today who were shutout yesterday in the series opener.

SP-Jake Odorizzi-Tampa Bay Rays: Starting Odorizzi is a little risky today since it’s his first start coming off the DL, but his price and matchup make him attractive enough for me to roll the dice.  Odorizzi is usually excellent at home (1-2, 1.64 ERA this season, last year 6-6, 2.62 ERA), and taking on the free-swinging Astros should result in some solid strikeout numbers.  He has looked good in rehab, so I’m going to take a chance on him and save some money for my hitters.

C-Nick Hundley-Colorado Rockies: Hundley is a nice value play at catcher if he gets the start again today against the Braves.  Saturday’s are tricky with catchers since many get their day off with a day-game after a night game. Handley will be looking for his fourth straight multi-hit game if he does get the go today against the Braves at Coors Field.

1B-Eric Hosmer-Kansas City Royals: Hosmer has hit safely in six of his last seven games and is coming off a solid 4-4 yesterday against the Blue Jays. Despite facing a lefty-lefty matchup against Mark Buehrle, Hosmer is fine to use at 1B giving his 6-20 (.300) career mark against the Blue Jays veteran.

2B-Matt Duffy-San Francisco Giants: Duffy has settled into the middle of the Giants lineup and is coming off a huge 4-6 night last night. He’s hitting .318 over the past week and should be in a good matchup to keep things rolling tonight.

3B-Brock Holt-Boston Red Sox: Holt comes into tonight’s game against the Yankees with a nine-game hitting streak. He’s hitting just under .300 on the season and is 6-15 (.400) against the Yankees this year.

SS-Francisco Lindor-SS-Cleveland Indians: Lindor’s overall numbers on the year are still not impressive but he has gone 5-12 in his last three games while producing at least nine fantasy points in each of those outings.  He’s still remarkably affordable and usually hits near the top of the Tribe batting order.

OF-Yoenis Cespedes-Detroit Tigers: Cespedes wasn’t able to overcome the KC voting block so he isn’t going to the All Star game, but he still deserves a shot in your lineup for tonight.  He’s 13-34 (.382) in the last week including three homers and seven RBI.  He also has a good history against Phil Hughes going 6-12 against him with three doubles, a triple, and a home run.

OF-Hunter Pence-San Francisco Giants: Pence connected for a grand slam last night against his former team the Phillies in the Giants 15-2 romp in San Francisco. Since coming off the DL, Pence is 4-12 with a double, home run, and seven RBI. Pence is back and appears to be at full strength in what should be a good matchup tonight.

OF-Alejandro De Aza-Boston Red Sox: De Aza is 5-7 in his career against Yankees starter Ivan Nova with a home run. He’s been a nice pickup for Boston, and he is worth checking out if he is in the lineup tonight against New York.
