The MLB All-Star Futures Game is an annual display of the game’s best prospects, and the 2015 game will be no different.

Perhaps more than so than any of the other major North American sports leagues, Major League Baseball has almost a fanatical following around its minor league system. Whether as a predictor of the overall health of the franchise or its available trade chips in big league deals, there has never been more attention paid upon each team’s prospects, with casual fans and pundits alike knowing each and every name in the system.

For those who love the minor league game and the gamble involved with prospect hunting, Sunday is going to bring a major treat. For the 17th straight season, Major League Baseball’s top prospects will converge on All-Star weekend and put on their annual showcase in the All-Star Futures Game.

After a dramatic 3-2 win over the World squad in 2014, the United States team will look to keep their five-game win streak alive when the best meet the best Sunday, July 12th at 3:00pm. Last year it was Texas Rangers’ top prospect Joey Gallo (sounds familiar right?) providing the fireworks, but this year’s game may see its share of excitement with some of the best prospects in the game on showcase.
