With some nasty weather in Cincinnati, there’s a chance that the MLB Home Run Derby might not be played on Monday night

With the halfway point of the 2015 baseball season here upon us, it’s time to get excited for the All-Star festivities. Of course, that means it’s time for the Home Run Derby, one of the more anticipated events of the entire summer, which is set to take place on Monday night.

Well, it’s set to take place, if the weather cooperates.

Currently in Cincinnati, where the 2015 All-Star festivities are taking place, the weather is not cooperating all that much. There are heavy rain and wind storms projected, which would obviously mean that the Home Run Derby might not actually be taking place on Monday night as scheduled. So if that were the case, when exactly would the Home Run Derby happen? Would it just be canceled altogether?

According to Jon Heyman of CBS, it would not be canceled, rather it would just take place on Tuesday afternoon before the actual All-Star Game.

Well this would most certainly be an interesting turn of events, but it’d be the necessary move if that weather does turn out as badly as expected.
