Down 86-84 with just under two minutes in his Lakers’ highly crucial Las Vegas Summer League tournament game tonight, Tarik Black had visions of glory. Here he was, all alone a few feet from the bucket with the ball in his hands and on the verge of tying things up. All he had to do was finish what would be a pretty routine dunk and the Lakers would be level with the Summer Mavericks.

Sadly for Tarik, the Mavs’ Justin Anderson had other ideas about how this was going to go down. Let’s see what happened:

Whoa. This is amazing. Anderson’s arm is so long that he’s able to block the shot against the left side of the backboard despite his entire body being on the right side of the rim. As it turned out, this play may well have ended up deciding the game, as Dallas wound up winning 88-86. Hopefully we’ll be seeing plays like this from him next season, even though the Mavericks are gonna be giving up like 120 a night.
