Daniel Brooks hit the first hole in one at the British Open since 2012 on Saturday.

The British Open has been interesting this year, with long weather delays and heavy winds wreaking havoc on the course and the sanity of golfers.

But there have still been some highlights amongst the lowlights. Daniel Brooks hit a hole-in-one on the 11th hole after play resumed on Saturday.

Given the winds you have to wonder how much of this was luck. You’re likely to credit a professional golfer for accomplishing this feat because of their level of skill, but the conditions have been unpredictable.

It was the first hole-in-one since 2012, when Anirban Lahiri aced the 9th hole at Lytham.

Unfortunately Brooks will likely miss the cut at St. Andrews unless something crazy happens down the stretch. Still, he has possibly the highlight of the tournament with this hole-in-one and a memory to last a life time. Not only was it a hole-in-one, but on one of the most prestigious golf courses in the world.
