Clint Dempsey wasted no time on Saturday night in helping to make sure the USA keeps advancing in the Gold Cup

The United States Men’s National Team is looking to advance in the 2015 Gold Cup even further on Saturday as they take on Cuba, and none other than Clint Dempsey made his presence felt early.

Just a few minutes after the match got underway on Saturday, the man who continues to make himself one of the biggest soccer legends in American history came through to send a message to the Cuban teams. Take a look in the video below as Dempsey bangs in this beautiful header to put the US up 1-0 early in the contest.


That’s why he’s the captain of this squad and that’s why the US has such a good chance to take the Gold Cup when all is said and done here.

That play right there was beautifully set up and Dempsey could not have finished it any better than he did. The US team came out firing on all cylinders on the attack and it paid off with this play.

Now, we’ll see if Dempsey and the American team can keep it up here.
