Pedro Martinez may have had the best response ever to the recent remarks made by Colin Cowherd on ESPN

One of the more polarizing stories in the world of sports over the past few days has been the comments that were made by ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd, Cowherd, on air, basically talked down on Dominicans when saying that baseball was not all that hard of a game to grasp, and therefore was released from his duties early before he makes his move to FOX Sports.

Since this incident, everyone, especially current and former Dominican-born players, have been letting their voices be heard as they express their displeasure. Well, none other than Pedro Martinez was the latest to weigh in on the controversy, and he may have had the best response of all.

When asked about the comments made by Cowherd, Pedro dropped the mic on him in basically just a few short words that resonated.

“I’m sorry. He needs to get to my level to answer him. I’m in the Hall of Fame.” Martinez said.

That was pretty short, sweet and exactly to the point. People might want to go on a tirade after what Cowherd said, but Martinez pretty much summed it all up perfectly right here. We as the media don’t fully understand what the players go through in their respective sport, yet some will try to act as if they do know what it takes.
