Liverpool

Players In:

James Milner – Manchester City

Danny Ings – Burnley

Adam Bogdan – Bolton

Joe Gomez – Charlton

Roberto Firmino – Hoffenheim

Nathaniel Clyne – Southampton

Players Out:

Raheem Sterling – Man City

Glen Johnson – Stoke

Sebastian Coates – Sunderland

Steven Gerrard – LA Galaxy

Liverpool have been mightily impressive in the transfer window up to this point and with the hefty sale of Raheem Sterling, you have to think there is still money to spend. Persuading James Milner to join on a free was a massive coup and he will be a stalwart in their first eleven this season.

The same goes for Nathaniel Clyne at right back, who continues the English theme that Liverpool having been going for. Roberto Firmino is an exciting addition who has been hotly tipped to make waves in the Premier League similar to how Phillipe Coutinho did last season.

Liverpool clearly have strong options in the form of English duo Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings. They even still, somewhat strangely, have Mario Balotelli on their books. However, they still seem very keen to add another top striker into their squad.

Interest in Christian Benteke seems to have peaked, with the Belgian looking set to move from Aston Villa. Despite polarizing opinion, the Belgian is a dangerous striker on his day and incredibly is still only 24 years of age. He can be unplayable when at his best and would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool.

Winger

Raheem Sterling was a mainstay in the Liverpool side lasts season despite his problems with the club. He operated more centrally as Brendan Rodgers opted for a 3-5-2 formation for the majority of games. However, I think that Liverpool need a replacement winger in case they revert to a more typical formation.

They certainly have some promising young players on the wings, but bringing in someone established with the Sterling money would be their best bet. Pedro from Barcelona seems like he might be available and for a good price considering his achievements in the game.
