Stephen A. Smith was right about Tom Brady’s suspension and destroying his cellphone.
The internet was having some fun at the expense of ESPN First Take pundit Stephen A. Smith when he had a report this morning about the suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
I’m hearing that Brady’s 4-gm suspension will likely be upheld by the NFL.

Smith also went on to say: “I’m hearing that Tom Brady actually destroyed his cellphone.”
The internet had a lot of fun at Smith’s expense because he is a person who once upon a time thought an Onion article was real.

We mean a lot of people jumped all over Stephen A. Smith for his “report.”
Did Stephen A mention whether or not Brady's phone was asking for it?

Low and behold, Stephen A. Smith was right.
NFL: Roger Goodell upheld the four-game suspension imposed on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady

About the phone smashing as well.
NFL says that in destroying his phone Brady kept them from being able to access 10,000 potential text messages

NFL says Brady destroyed his cell phone after it asked him to see it. Obviously, this is the definition of non-compliance.

Now a lot of First Take and Stephen A. Smith detractors have to wipe some egg off their face, and quite literally no one expected they’d be in this position.
