The Miami Marlins are taking on the Washington Nationals on Wednesday, and things got a little weird during the batting practice session. Actually, it might be one of the strangest things to ever happen before a baseball game is set to get underway.
While the Nationals were out on the field for batting practice, there was something being played over the loud speakers, but it definitely wasn’t the music that’s usually played. No, as a matter of fact, for some reason or another, the Marlins decided to just play fart noises.
Yes, actual fart noises.
This confirmed the reports that were coming in that this was actually something that was taking place before the game.
Well, I guess that’s one way you can try to knock your opponent off their game before things even get started. Although, more than anything this probably just made all the Nationals players crack up, not distract them from anything.
But it must have gotten to the Nationals in some form or fashion, because the team actually resorted to bringing their own speakers on the field.
