The New York Mets tried to troll the San Diego Padres over their perfect weather.
Rain is pouring down in the North East, that means the New York Mets’ game against the San Diego Padres game had a weather delay.
So of course the Mets saw this as an opportunity to make a joke targeted at San Diego’s near flawless weather.
.@Padres not sure if you've ever seen 1, this is a rain delay. Water falls from the sky for a bit. It'll be over soon pic.twitter.com/ZBOj1xwnbN

Don’t get us wrong, we love seeing sports team’s social media accounts interact. Sometimes it leads to export trolling or the weird dance party that occurred in the NBA yesterday.
But in typical Mets fashion, the opponent got the better end of the deal.
.@Mets it's a rare sight for us. We had one a few weeks ago. Things got weird. Is this normal? pic.twitter.com/inVU6b8I1g

And to make matters even worse, the Mets had a hard time using the tarp correctly.

There's a tarp on Citi Field. Just happens to be covering LF not the infield. First base is Lake Duda right now pic.twitter.com/QLK3Xc7jUm
