The New York Mets tried to troll the San Diego Padres over their perfect weather.

Rain is pouring down in the North East, that means the New York Mets’ game against the San Diego Padres game had a weather delay.

So of course the Mets saw this as an opportunity to make a joke targeted at San Diego’s near flawless weather.

Don’t get us wrong, we love seeing sports team’s social media accounts interact. Sometimes it leads to export trolling or the weird dance party that occurred in the NBA yesterday.

But in typical Mets fashion, the opponent got the better end of the deal.

And to make matters even worse, the Mets had a hard time using the tarp correctly.
